Paddle Boats in Boise

Paddle Boats in Boise! Trina wanted the swan. We got the pelican.

This is the view of the pond. Its a nice little paddle path.

We rented three "boats". The pelican you see ahead of us and the blue boat behind it.

Mommy and Trina.

Stefana and Allie.

Little duckies (maybe even Canadian Goslings....who knows?)

Mommy, Piper and Neo.

Melissa's Baking - These are CUPCAKES!!!!

Really, there aren't words to describe these cupcakes. Melissa is a very talented baker. She is creative and makes delicious desserts! These were fun!

Not for a Weak Stomach - Joel's Gash in His Knee

Joel wasn't sure if we should take him for stitches.....your thoughts?

The nurse didn't hesitate in preparing him for stitches. How 'bout that?

The gash....all clean.

Guess what comes next?

Yep, the needle in the knee!!!!

All numb. Lidocaine rocks!

The stitching takes place. Frankenstein, eat your heart out!

Final product. (The white is from the lack of blood circulation due to the numbing agent.)
Kind of looks like a football.

This happened several weeks ago. Stitches are out and he has healed. This is just one of those "feel good" moments you want to share with the family. Ok, so it's not, really, but it's still cool. Just ask any of the boys.

4th of July

4th of July 2010 was a blast! We barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and added some tiki lights for the right ambiance and flew the American flag with pride.
Later, we gathered on the corner of Capital Blvd and Vista and watched the fireworks show! We were so excited, we immediately went to a fireworks stand and bargained for all the firecrackers we could get for $20 to light up in our cul-de-sac! A fun day to remember.
